REVIEW - Pixi Flawless Beauty Powder in shade No. 1 Fair

Without buying a totally white powder, this is by far the palest shade of powder I have come across. It is devine, and I could not recommend this one enough if you have pale skin. You can wear it on it’s own for light coverage, but I tend to use as a finishing powder over all of my foundations. You can of course use this with the mineral veil foundation from the same brand. Not only is this the perfect shade, but it doesn’t dry out my skin even slightly, I can hardly feel I’m wearing it. The powder itself is super super fine and super super soft. Unlike the mineral veil foundation, this has lasted me a very long time considering I use it several times a day. I’m probably nearing 2/3 of the way through and I’ve had it about a year now. Typically, I will use a powder brush to apply it in the morning and if I need to re-apply in the day I will use the little sponge it comes with.

It retails at £16 in the UK which, although fairly pricey, I think it is well worth the extra money. On their website,

“This powder looks like real skin, just better. It evens out skintone and keeps skin shine-free for hours. Containing an innovative mix of translucent, coated air-light pigments, vitamin E and strong UV-protection, it enhances and helps to protect the skin. Leaves an invisible, smooth, shine-free and youthful finish. Suitable for all skin types & ages due to its unique light-diffusing pigments and re-hydrating formula.”

One point to add though, is that nowhere does it state what “strong UV protection” is, or even whether this is UVA or UVB protection, so I would still wear some sort of spf underneath this, either in your moisturiser or primer.

This is a product I will definitely re-purchase, if nothing else just for the great pale colour. Certainly one to go and check out in the shops.

Thanks for reading. Feel free to add any comments :)
